Yesterday, a whirlwind Hurricane "Sandy" hit our area. I was not worried though, because our house was built in 1791, on a shale rock ridge and has weathered many a storm. The howling wind rattled our windows and the rain pounded on our door, but everyone was safe and sound. Brother built a crackling fire in the kitchen Hearth. We also baked Choc.Chip Cookies and Blueberry Scones that were simply heavenly. Though the storm put a damper on all outside activities, we were able to have a wonderful time being together as a family and are grateful for safety and protection.

| We were fortunate not to have any real damage other than limbs, branches, sticks, fences that needed minor fixing & the Dog House that tumbled over. |
